      Shaun,

Form the discussions above it is implied you are in the Chicago area.  Locally there are 3 tracks, Norway (Concept Haulers), Badger (Dousman, WI) and MRP (South Bend).  If you are looking for competition and speed I believe MRP is the only one of the 3 running anything faster than a Yamaha.  We have a Rotax Masters class with 8-10 entries consistently and a very competitive group.  We run 8 club races a year and help is there for the asking.  Anyone in the class will help however they can to make you fast on the track.  Great bunch of guys to race with.  If speed is not the desire than the LO206 class is the best bang for the buck.  All 3 tracks run this class and there is also a regional series.  If you have other questions you can contact me at   marshall@LSRMotorsports.com  Welcome to the sport, great place to have fun.

We have 4 206 karts in our team.  2 Torks, KT1, and an old Bleu Demon.  the Tork works well, using a Wide Flat Plate to run the clutch outboard and miss the seat strut.  Originally the Tork had a bolt on strut for the engine side of the seat but the Euro manufactures like the struts that are welded in place during manufacturing so that is what we have on this one.  The chassis works well, very easy to tune.  The 2 Torks run very different setups and are equal in times.

Check the plug on the crank sensor.  Very close to an issue I had one time.  Looks plugged in but was just short of full plug in.  Push the plug until you hear it click.

I did install the additional parts for the Power Valve and my low speed bog was gone.

It is Verson 4 for the power valve hookup.  I put my EVO kit on for the first time last race and had a very serious low speed bog.  This is suppose to address this.  Will find out this weekend.

It is a magazine.  I have subscribed since the first of the year and read each edition.  Some interesting articles, lots of advertising.  Most news and articles are from Europe with some coverage of US events.   There is nothing earth shattering in the magazine, or is there in any magazine today.  Bottom line is your the only one who can determine if it is worth purchasing for yourself.

A group of us from South Bend went to the KRA race 6 & 7 weekend at New Castle.  One of which was my granddaughter who does run the Jr 206.  With no other competitors they put her in with the rookies.  Several fathers of rookies commented how simple the 206 package was compared the the Yamaha and I let them know that was why she was in the 4 cycle instead of the Yamaha.  It is a class that just need some entries to get started and it will build just like the senior classes have.  I know Mike and Mark would both welcome more racers in this class.

This will sound very strange but I saw it work.   Down dish soap on the bead, don’t think I am crazy (as I did the guy who told me) until you try it.

There is a issue in both WKA and IKF Tech Manuals regarding the CMR2007 ruling.  They both list this helmet certification as no longer acceptable after 2016.  I have been in touch with WKA officials and also the chief engineer at Snell about this misconception.  The Snell engineer states the CMR2007 is still the current standard for youth helmets and there is no superceding regulation in the near future.  This issue should be cleared up in the next couple of months.  I am staying on top of this as one of my responsibilites with Target Distributing which we are a distrubutor for both Vega and Impact helmets.  As far as the 24.1 SFI rating there is a 24.1/2010 updated certification, as stated in the tech manuals but I am not familiar with this one so will not officially comment as to which is good or not.

Wesley, your Son’s Bell GP2 is not a CMR2007 as this is the KC3 helmet by Bell.  But look for a date code inside the helmet, if it is within 5 years of manufacture date is should be recognized as current.

Once more info is available I will try to post here, but if anyone has questions they can reach me at Target Distributing in South Bend, IN   800-348-5076

Use a high temp fluid, have been using Motul High Temp Brake Fluid for years, never had a brake issue except when I did not get a brake line tight enough.

I question whether you could ever wear out a Micro Max motor.  I know we have run Juniors 60 hours and Mini Max motors could go that long and probably longer.  Considering a Micro Max rarely goes above 10k rpm for a motor that is designed in the hardest use (Senior and Masters classes) that can go 40-50 hours I guess a Micro Max motor could last 80-100 hours.

      Rodney,

I tried the D Ring a few years ago but could not get an angle that allowed it to be effective.  I also have an issue but from the G Force.  Have found some exercises that help.  My main issue is the muscles on the left side of my neck.  I can make the main but towards the end it is very painful.

The piece you are using looks like it prevents movement of the head and not sure it would be very comfortable and what happens in a crash.
