Next to my name at the top right of the online web page is a blue circle with the number “1” inside. Placing the mouse over the “Howdy, tony” it shows that I have an unread Notification. Selectiing Notification/Unread brings up two lines, one slightly below and off set to the right. Both read “Profile Notifications 1 Messages 0 Forums Settings” But no notification. What am I missing?
P.S. When I’ve checked the notify me of follow-up replies vie email, I haven’t been receiving the emails. My profile has the email address.
Oh! And thanks guys. It took a little while but I like the new forum.

Hi Tony, we are having issues with our forum email system. We hope to have it fixed in the near future. The Notification is something new that was added with an upgrade, and we are looking into it. Thanks.

Nevermind. Apparently posting to this thread fixed it. I swear I have clicked on it a hundred times, and it would not vanish. I post here, click on it again 30 seconds later, and now its gone…..

The messages and notification count can be reset to zero if you log out and back in. Closing the web page and reopening it will not work if you checked ‘remember me’ was checked when you first logged in.

You shouldn’t need to log out to make it go away. It should only be displayed when a reply has been made to a thread you started, or when you receive a private message.
We are still working to fix this, after fixing the email notification.

Dave,
The issue was with the user, not the web site. I had been clicking on the blue circle and was being take to the page that will only tell you how many notifications or messages you have. For anyone else having this problem, roll over the blue circle and a list of messages will appear. Click on the message, not the blue circle, and you will be taken to the message. The blue indicator will extinguish.LAD Specialties customer / tony kart / rotax / kt100

Correct, however, the Notifications page is not working correctly, as it should be listing your notifications. We are working to fix that.

I have the same problem. I have had one notification for quite sometime. Now I have two notifications. I cannot figure out how to open it or read it either. I’m trying to do this with an iPhone I don’t know if that makes a difference or not.

Hay I got it to open on my PC. Read it and cleared it out. Maybe will figure this new site out if we stick to it. LOL. Thanks for the help Tony.

Cliff,
As David said, the Notification page is not working correctly. You can clear the notifications via a pc. I’ve just proven it again on my pc getting here. I’m using IE on a Windows platform. Scroll over the blue message indicator at the top, right side of the page and a list of the notifications will appear. As you select them, the notification number will decrease. Repeat those steps until the count is zero.
From a smartphone, log into the Forum and rotate the phone to landscape mode. There will be a head and shoulder icon. You might have to scroll up to see it. Tap on the icon and you will see an item that says notifications. This is where I think the problem is that David mentioned. Tapping on notifications gets you to the page that just tells you have messages, but they are not being listed.
If you have a pc, iPad, tablet or a Mac, you’ll have to use it for the time being.LAD Specialties customer / tony kart / rotax / kt100
