New to shifters…Any suggestions

So my boys race L0206 Briggs and I used to run 2 stokes in the 90’s.  Picked up an old shifter kart with a Pavesi motor for a great price, figured I would play around with them on practice days.  Anyways, any suggestions on how to get this thing running, where to start?  All the fluids were drained and it has been sitting in a warehouse, seems to have good compression, I took the sparkplug out and the piston looks bran new……
