Only thing I’ve found is in your profile you can see new topics. I haven’t found (or really looked hard) for a new posts button. That is what I miss most about the new forums. It takes too long to navigate around looking for new replies.

At the bottom of each forum section, there is a ‘Mark as Read’ button. When your done viewing a section, click on the button to clear the memory. Then when you come back to that section, those topics with new posts will have the orange flag next to it.

That’s nice David, but it still requires us to go into every forum and do that, which isn’t reasonable.  Is there a way that we could at least have a single button to mark everything in all the forums Read?

We are nearing the ‘View posts since last visit’. It’s not as simple as turning it on, but we are close to adding that function. Thank you again for everyone’s patience.

For now, you can view New Posts, which is located in the Forums pull-down menu.

We have added the New Post Since Last Visit link in the Forum menu. There, you can see all the posts that have been made since your last visit. If it’s blank, then no posts have been made since your last visit.

I don’t think the new posts since last visit is working correctly. I just looked at the forum sections and some say there have been new posts less than 20 mins ago. When I go to the new posts since last visit page its blank.

      Hi Dustin,

blank means no new posts. So if you leave and then come back, it will be blank unless a new post has been made. Signing off for dinner and time with the kids tonight, I came back to hit the link, and a whole long page of posts showed up. More fine-tuning items still in the works.

Alright.. so I tried this again after almost 24 hours away from the forum. It seemed to work fine initially but when I tried to go to the 2nd page of new posts everything went blank again. Just something to look into.

Great add, I dont spend as much time on the new forum due to having to click through each sub section. The, “view post from last visit” button will bring me back.

David, I don’t have anything recently from you. Last message is about the forum display name.

Yes Dustin. If you see, your Display Name has not been updated yet. Please do so per the EKN Forum Guidelines.

I just used the new post since last visit button. I had about 20 new posts. It worked great till after I looked at the first new post. After reading it I clicked the back button. When it went back it told me I had no new posts and all the ones that were there were gone.

And now the “mark as read” button has gone away…….you guys should just link the old forum to the new site and be done with it.
