Registration is open for the next NCK event at Buttonwillow Raceway – Saturday, August 24th
Go to the NCK website for news and links on how to register
Ask questions here and we will do what we can to help you out.
We have new racer special pricing and also Junior special pricing – check it out.
Roger,
Do you know which layout and direction we will be running for this race?
Thanks,
Bret
Configuration 1, CCW, seems to be about the best ride for most. That is the front straight going from Sunrise to Sunset.
In case anyone is interested, they are going to allow a few guys to practicing Buttonwillow this Saturday. Its $200 for a full day and $100 for half day .
Looks like ill be there along with a couple buddies. Good chance to get some rare tests time on a big track.
Eric Gossard set it up, you can contact either of us if you need more info. I think they need a head count, so if you plan on going let us know. You can pm or email me jmcneil166@yahoo.com
Good deal, Jimmy!
Wish I wasn’t so banged up right now, I’d be there. You boys have fun out there!
2 weeks until the race. This is the last points race and the next club race is November 30th, so it will be 3 months until your next opportunity with NCK if you miss it! The weather is going to be perfect: Hi 74 Cloudy
Hello Roger,
Just wanted to say a big “Thank You” from the guys with Team Long Racing (All Show No Go…) Thanks for helping us out with the novice class and bearing with us while we try to get our sh!t together and get up to speed.
I was having major problems at Thunderhill with my carb setup on the Invader. I now have a new pump around setup from Sharkshifter, so there should be no more cutting out in the turns. Jim’s Italkart is running perfectly, he just needs more seat time. Also Dan will hopefully have his new CRG shifter ready to go by then too. He’s selling his Birel Tag Kart (listed under classifieds here).
Looking forward to ripping it up at Buttonwillow. I have a lot of experience there on motorcycles running clockwise, but never on a kart or CCW…
We’ll be renting a garage for the day, so feel free to stop on by…

Warm and sunny 86 degrees of racing weather! Can’t wait!
Hey Larry, are you sure about that 86 degrees, last time I looked it said 96 degrees!? Kind of like Thunderhill and I was pretty knackered at the end of that second ICE race!!! And one more question – it looks like you have the points all tied up again in Unlimited and ICE!!!? So I guess you are the club champ again!?
Any of you cats coming up to the Portland national in Sept? We had a great turnout last weekend in the stock class with new winners all around.
I’ll take that as a no.
Hey Chris – I would like to go but I think work is not going to allow me to make the trip. I know Larry, Dean and quite a few others from the NCK clan are making plans to be there – so yeah some guys will be there!
I will see everyone at PIR! Meanwhile back in Buttonwillow the forcast is for Hi 84° RealFeel® 88° :)
Ton’, Cheeky Bugger!
One week from tomorrow we decide the club championship, on the track, where it is supposed to be decided! That is if I get my kart put back together in time!

Larry, it’s a good thing you don’t have to make a living as a weather man?
OK, so it’s plus or minus 10 degrees :)
Never mind it’s gonna be Hot :O
Keep your cool by placing a wet towel around the back of your neck, put ice in a camel back bladder and tuck it in the front of your driving suit. You can drink the melting ice water while racing.
It’s gonna snow tomorrow:)
