Pre Entry is now open. Forms were mailed Saturday and emails went out last week. Race dates are June 17 – 19. Dart Kart would like to welcome the CES racers as well as the AKRA regulars to this event.

Still a bit far out but right now weather looks like it should be good.  At least good temps.  Looking forward to getting out to my favorite track.  Looked back through vids I found this one from last year.  It was one of the few dry practices we got Saturday before it finally dried out and we got the races in.  It was open practice and being in one of the faster classes had some good lapped traffic passing practice.  Between laps 4-5 passed 20 karts which means nothing but was still fun.  Still good vid to watch if you haven’t been to Mid Ohio and are coming for first time.

Hope to see lots of people at the track and look forward to the additional CES folks.  Safe travels to everyone.

Where is everyone? What about the race this weekend? 400 entries great weather, lots of laps, great people, great racing. No one bitchin about anything? We had a great time thanks to everyone that helped put this event on. Wow great to be back at Mid-Ohio.

According to AKRA’s Bill McCutcheon the final total on entries was over 500, the best in many years.

The pairing of AKRA, CES and the Dart Kart group obviously paid dividends. I heard a little grousing from a few folks but that’s always to be expected. The weather was perfect if a little hot, most everyone seemed to have a good time, how does it get better than that?

I hadn’t raced at Mid-Ohio in 13 years and hadn’t run a laydown in over 15 years but somehow swept the Vintage races both days. Still buzzing from a great weekend.

Wow Greg I thought 400 entries was great 500 is crazy sorry for anyone that missed it. Grattan is coming up soon lets see if we can get a big kart count there.

It was a great weekend.  No complaints from my end… well my jetting could’ve been a bit better, but I’ll take the blame on that.  The 125 shifter class was a great race with a large field!  Looking forward to 2017 to do it all over again!

Off to Grattan in a few weeks; hopeful for great numbers there too!
