First of all for the Baldus Racing Team, I just want to give a huge THANKS to Ron and Alice Anderegg for their years of dedication on behalf of the Garnett Kart Club hosting the Garnett kart races. I have tried to remember how many years, and the best I can come up with is 40 +. Ron swears this one was his last. They deserve a break.
And also to Greg Gwin. If you don’t know who that is he’s one of those behind the scene guys that make Garnett happen, he’s the guy “sitting” at the entrance to the chicane with the yellow flag; the one making the decision if you passed too late and needed to be black-flagged. That guy! Thanks Greg.
And of course thanks to all of the corner workers and the people that keep putting the hay back every time we knock it out of the way, and the other tireless workers (Amber, this includes you too).
The good news: Both Garnett races this year were better than last year’s. Baby steps. Let’s all keep working on that.
And also, TaG Cadet Jace Park is doing fine. That’s how it is when you are a tough kid. His ankle is probably already healing.
Nearly forgot: Can you believe the gorgeous weather? For August 23rd in KS, it was unbelievable. Ron said he would have made a fortune if he had been selling it!
We’re all looking forward to next year @ Garnett. Will keep you posted.
Keep on kartin'. llb
