I’m working on a 2002/3 Energy Kart and want to get frame blasted and powder coated? Any tips there appreciated, but mainly wondering how to get the rubber bushings out of the frame on the rear that hold the bumper on. I beat the bolt with a nut on it and a washer and got it to move about 1/4 inch, but that method seems is going to take a very long time? Tools/Suggestions appreciated.

Go to Auto Zone and rent a dent puller. That’s how I got mine out.

You will have to be creative as the dent puller and your bolt aren’t the same size. Once you get that figured out just use the slide hammer and swear a lot.

It also helps if you spray silicon around the rubber plug.

Thanks I was looking to do something like that I work at car parts store and was looking at some of the rental tools, I’ll have to check to see if we offer a dent puller.

I used a scissor jack carefully and slowly.
