Long story short didn’t have time to break my pads in and there’s a visible glaze on the rotor and some inconsistent pedal feel. Anyone have any tips on how to de-glaze?
Take them out and hit them with 220 grit sand paper or something close
Rubbing them along rough concrete works too, in a pinch.
Definitely using sandpaper on a flat surface is the best way. Also, make sure to clean off the pads after sanding by using some aerosol “brake clean”. If you don’t, the brake pads will immediately glaze over again. Don’t ask me how I know…. :)
