How much clearance do you need between a Patriot dry clutch and the third bearing arm. I made a spacer so the third bearing comes out to the end of the starter nut and that gives me .400″. Is that enough clearance for the weights to swing out?

      Thanks,

      Walt,

Remove springs and pivot lever manually to check clearance. Pull crank outward to accommodate end play of crank and give yourself another .050″ for safety. Your initial .400″ sounds like plenty.
