Hey guys, got an original 99 motor I am looking to freshen up and wondering if there was an option to run a 01 cylinder on the 99 lower?  Can I utilize the 01 top end on a 99 lower end?  Got some long track configurations to run as well as a few smaller – would it be practical to swap the cylinders based on track layouts – or even possible?

We may not be the fastest on the track...but we're having the most fun!

Check with your org to ensure you can run the ’01.
Otherwise you can swap them yes. ’01 is arguably faster, depending who you ask but harder to tune, YMMV.
Biggest pain is if your stick the ’01 and need to replace it, you cant just transfer your valve plugs over to the new cylinder. $$
