Don’t forget that GingerMan is coming up soon. There’s a rumor that hotel space might be limited, so book that room now. Of course, there’s always camping at the track.

      Pete,

Does CES still offer just the Saturday practice? It was $50 or $60.

Would like to shake down the rebuild and make sure everything works/shifts.

I would think so Robert. Check with Dave, but I’m sure he’ll take your money to help pay the track rental bill ;)

      Jim,

Just tryin to do my part! May not be the full boat weekend but we only have 1 of those left and Gingerman was never a favorite in the laydown. MIS isn’t my flavor either but they do have a good amount of WOT (laydown likie!!)……and it’s close so the Wife may stop in.

Good chance 2 or 3 of us may do practice at Gman.

      See you there.

Set your kart for around 103-105MPH @ 12,800RPM

If you just want to get started, take your pick from 19:24, 18:23 or 17:22 and change as/if needed.

If you don’t already have it John Denmans gearcalc sheet is super handy: http://www.kartweb.com/TechArt/GearMaster.xls

Be sure to correct the tire circumference if you need to.

Thanks for the info Jim.  Swedetech has a nice gear ratio chart also.  See link below.

Hey, don’t forget that we’re having our banquet during GingerMan, as well as the 5K walk/run. I was pleasantly surprised at how many participants there were for the 5k at BFR. Made me feel like a bit of a schlub. :)
Additionally, there will be some awesome kart racing taking place.

Already posted this in the video section: the Sunday BFR TAG Sr. race in its entirety.

      Enjoy!

Remember, you too can have this much fun.

Big Thank you to Dave Larson / CES crew and the staff at Gingerman.  The racing was GREAT and the shifter turnout was awesome.

      Looking forward to next year.

CES is still the best shifterkart racing in the mid-west – period. Competitive, well run series. Thanks to Dave and the CES crew for a great series!
