It was a cool helmet, but it might be time for a new one? I believe Bieffe has been out of business for over 10 years. Acceleration has some Arai, Sparco, Zamp, or Bell helmets that would be great!

Yes defiantly  a great helmet and i am planning to still use it . karting has always been a very expensive sport and cant effort a new hamlet at the moment ,getting back into the sport now after 14 year break .

      Thanks for the info!

It’ll be tough to find anything for Bieffe helmets, as Curtis noted they’ve been out of business for a while. I would double-check the Snell rating on the one you have, it might not be legal to use in competition.

      Hi

What would be the rating i need to look for on the helmet? is there a number or rating number that i need to look for?

Most organizations require a specific Snell (SA) safety rating. There should be a sticker/label in the interior of the helmet that shows the helmet’s SA rating. You might have to move some of the interior padding around to find it.

These ratings are updated every 5 years and most organizations allow the ratings to be legal for 10 years. So for example an SA2005 helmet would be legal until the end of this year, and after that it would be illegal.

New helmets are currently on the SA2010 rating. The SA2015 rated helmets should be out later this year.
