Been looking to get back in to kart racing. Would like to race at homestead and west palm beach tracks. Dont know which tag engine to go with between x30 or rotax in the masters class. Also looking for a crg dealer. Thanks, Mike

CRG is dead and Homestead is trying to eliminate Rotax in favor of Rok.

Buy a new Otk kart with a rok TT

Also, Palm beach is run by Otk/orlando kart center. Which will also favor the rok motor

Rok GP, not Rok TT….otk chassis will get you lots of tuning advice in FL, CRG, not so much…rotax is in a very turbulent transitional period right now transitioning from the 15+ yr old Max engine to the new EVO motor, and the x30, although its been around for a number of years now, it still hasnt seemed to really grab hold of any market share in FL……as far as TAG racing, I hope you’re not too far from OGP, they’re about the only ones left that allow all brands to run together, everything else is exclusive spec engine classes and series….Good luck….

I agree with Mark and Andy. It is easy to find parts & tuning help for OTK chassis and ROK engines since many FL tracks support their products which is important if you have any on track incidents. As far as Rotax, x30, or ROK I would lean heavily towards ROK. The ROK engine and Bridgestone/MG tires really work well together. Plus, there are none of the Rotax EVO issues or feathering of the carb. Just press the gas & drive!  I would wait a while before buying a Rotax EVO engine so they can iron out all of the issues. I haven’t driven the x30 engine but it seems to be used more out west & in SKUSA.  If  you decide to go the OTK chassis route I am getting ready to list my slightly used 2014 30mm chassis with new stickers/plastics at a good price. Best of luck with whatever you choose.
