I recently purchased a set of used front brakes for a vintage Emmick.
The rotors were made from aluminum.
I was just wondering, What is special about this aluminum? Is it hardened or coated with something special for wear?
Should I consider replacing with new iron or steel discs?
Thanks,
Jeff
You have to run a specific brake pad with aluminum rotors. Me? I wouldn’t use them.

Do they look like they’ve been used with out problems? What brand are they?
