As a novice, you probably won’t feel the difference if the seat is off a bit. But it’s just better to start off on the right foot. Otherwise you might find yourself frustrated trying to solve a chassis handling problem later down the road and won’t remember that your seat isn’t mounted to factory specs.

The best thing for a novice to do is the set the kart up baseline neutral as it comes from the factory, don’t mess with it, and just go pound laps.
