The 2024 Superkarts! USA Winter Series is set to conclude this weekend – February 2-4 – with the finale event of the seventh season. The AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex presented by MG Tires will host Round Three and Four, welcoming over 200 entries in the nine categories competing in Homestead, Florida.

The 7/10-mile circuit will be revert to the clockwise direction for the second weekend for the 2024 SKUSA Winter Series. Wednesday and Thursday are unofficial practice with Friday hosting five official sessions for testing. Round Three is set for Saturday, including qualifying, Prefinal and Final. Round Four is a repeat format on Sunday. Points will then be combined for a best three of four championship format to decide the 2024 SKUSA Winter Series champions.

Two drivers stood out in the Pro X30 presented by SpeedLab Racing Engines as Ryan Norberg (RPG / Kosmic) eliminated his winless streak dating back to 2022, while Alessandro de Tullio (Inter MS / Kart Republic) showed he is a Homestead master in the wet. It is de Tullio leading the championship based on his runner-up performance to Norberg on Saturday, leading in the points standings by 60 over the five-time SKUSA Pro Tour champion. Jakub Kolar (Vice / Kart Republic) and Thomas Nepveu (Trinity / Kart Republic) both had a podium finish in the opening weekend but will need more this time around, trailing by 105 and 135 entering the weekend. SuperNationals 26 winner Donovan Bonilla (RPG / Kosmic), Harley Keeble (Piquet / Sodi Kart), Brandon Carr (Trinity / Kart Republic), and Diego Ramos (PSL / Birel ART) are among the top contenders for podium and wins.

Danny Formal (RPG / Kosmic) is looking to keep his win streak alive in the Pro Shifter presented by PSL Karting division. Formal won at SuperNationals 26 and took wins in both the dry and the wet in January. He leads by 50 points in the championship chase over Alan Isambard (Piquet / Sodi Kart) with 2022 FIA Karting World Champion Mathues Morgatto (PSL / Birel ART) making his third start in shifterkart action, coming off victory at the Florida Winter Tour in January. Giorgio Carrara (Inter MS / Kart Republic) returns after missing the January weekend with Henry Wheeler (PSL / Birel ART) set to make his Pro Shifter debut.

Weather was the story in the KA100 Senior presented by Sodi Racing USA. Alessandro de Tullio (Inter MS / Kart Republic) dominated the weekend in both the dry and wet. He swept Saturday and drove to the provisional win on Sunday before a rear bumper DQ took the win away. This has put Donovan Bonilla (RPG / Kosmic) into the top spot in the championship standings with a runner-up finish in Round Two. He leads de Tullio by 16 points with California driver Stephen Eisert (Piquet / Sodi Kart) is third with Anthony Rivera (Kart Republic) and Chase Buscaglia in fourth, all within 50 points entering the weekend. Collin Lloyd (Inter MS / Kart Republic) and Steven Miller (Nash / EOS) still have a shot at the title depending on drops and the results this weekend. New to the field include Logan Adams (Comet / Tony Kart), former RIGP Junior winner Alec Udell (Orsolon / Tony Kart) and EKN December Driver of the Month James Overbeck (BJR / Tony Kart).

Numbers stay strong in the X30 Junior presented by Rolison Performance Group with 24 entries. The championship is Diego Ardiles (RPG / Kosmic) to lose with Saturday winner Turner Brown (SCR / Redspeed) not competing. Round Two winner Ardiles now holds a 115 point advantage over Jackson Wolny (SCR / Redspeed) with Enzo Vidmontiene (Trinity / Kart Republic), Sarah Bradley (SCR / Redspeed) and Ty Fisher (Racelab / TB Kart) trailing in the standings.

The fight at the top of the KA100 Junior presented by Nash Motorsportz standings is tight. The top two of Diego Ardiles (RPG / Kosmic) and Sebastian Garzon (Orsolon / Tony Kart) are tied with 570 points each, both with a main event win. Enzo Vidmontiene (Trinity / Kart Republic) and Walter Jenkins IV (RPG / Kosmic) are within 78 points to make it a four driver battle heading into the weekend. With another large field, who will be able to join in the mix on the weekend.

The KA100 Master class presented by Alessandros Racing is up in the air based on the entry list. Championship leader Miguel Mier (Orsolon / Tony Kart) used consistency over the dry and wet weekend to hold the point lead. However, none of the top-10 in the standings are pre-registered, including defending champion Michael Garrido who won on Saturday and Sunday winner Ruben Rovelo. Former SKUSA champion Mario Barrios (RPG / Kosmic) is making his 2024 debut, along with Grace Hemmerde (RPG / Kosmic). Updates trackside will be made based on at-track entries. Scott Barnes (Magik Kart USA) – is the lone entry in Master Shifter presented by Inter MS. Barnes won both days in January.

The battle for the title in Mini Swift presented by Trinity Karting Group is now wide open. Opening weekend winners Alessandro Truchot (Parolin USA) and Rocco Simone (Trinity / Kart Republic) are both in Europe competing at the WSK Super Masters Series event in Italy. Thus, that promotes Benja Fernandez (SLA / Kart Republic) to the top of the standings ahead of Royce Vega (Team Benik) by 16 points with Ashton Woon (Supertune / Parolin) and Marco Sammut (BJR / LN Racing Kart) all within 17 points. Those four will be the focus of the weekend along with the large group of Mini rookies making their second start of 2024.

Zayne Burgess (Piquet / Sodi Kart) has a near perfect score over the first two rounds in the Micro Swift presented by Team URACE. His lead of 157 points over Santiago Orioli (MPG / Kart Republic) will be the focus with Orioli needing to beat him each on-track session. Marcelo Flores (Parolin), Danny O’Gara (MPG / Kart Republic) and Jake Manalio (TFR / Alonso Kart) will need help to get themselves closer to Burgess’ score. Liam Nachawati (Parolin USA) was runner-up in Round One, and has the speed to contend as well.
