It was a trip to the ultra-fast New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP) this past weekend as CDR driver Steven Miller secured his third consecutive Superkarts! USA title. Adding to his 2022 SKUSA SuperNationals XXV win last November and the 2023 SKUSA Winter Series earlier this year, Miller has reigned supreme in the KA100 Junior category with the goal to defend his Championship title at the 2023 SKUSA SuperNationals XXVI, later this season, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in November.

During Sunday’s round six of the SKUSA Pro Tour Series, despite a potential top-five result for Miller in the KA100 Junior pre-final, a bolt fell off the rear bumper in the last few laps and ruined a good result. The dragging bumper resulted in a mandatory disqualification causing Miller to have to start the final in the last position of the 47-kart lineup. Miller, highly focused on moving up through the traffic, passed 43 karts in the 18-lap final, crossing the finish line in the fourth position.

“Starting from last, with nearly 50 karts in front of me, I was excited to find myself in the top-four in the final few laps and fighting for the win. If I had one or two more laps I think I would have been the first to cross the finish line.”

A five-second penalty moved Miller from 4th to 12th in the results tally.

Always a threat for victory in every series, Miller has also added the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour and IAME USA Grand National Championship victories to his already astounding resume in 2023. Looking for more, Miller vows to continue the success.

The SunPrint Racing driver added, “There is no slowing down. I want to win every time on track, not only for myself, but for my team, sponsors, family, and all supporters.”

With four 2023 National championship wins checked off his list, Miller is gearing up for the last few challenges of the year.

“Big thanks to SunPrint Racing for their support, Corrado and Marco at Racing Force USA Inc. for helping me out with my OMP shoes this season, Chris from Offset for my gloves, and Carlos at CA designs for my custom helmet.”
