Road to Racing, Kartplex, and Area 27 to Host Open Shootout for Scholarship to Jaques Villeneuve’s Feed Racing School in France
Road to Racing, a Canadian motorsports amateur athletics association, has partnered with Kartplex and Area 27 to host an open shoot out for young Canadian karters to win a scholarship to Jacques Villeneuve’s FEED Racing school in France, valued at approximately $18,000. The two-day shootout will take place on May 13-14, 2023, and will provide a unique opportunity for young racers aged 14 to 19 to showcase their skills and potentially secure a life-changing experience.
Karts will be provided, and each driver will have a chance to practice and have several sessions to lay down laps in each of the six available karts. The quickest driver will receive the scholarship to attend the FEED Racing school with an opportunity to win a full F4 scholarship in 2024.
Neil Braun, President of Road to Racing, stated, “We are thrilled to be working with Kartplex and Area 27 to provide this amazing opportunity for young karters in Canada. It is an honour to partner with such outstanding organizations to support and advance the growth of motorsports in Canada.”
Bill Drossos, Co-owner of Area 27, added, “We are excited to host this open shoot out at Area 27, which is the perfect location for young racers to showcase their skills. The combination of the stunning Okanagan scenery and the state-of-the-art Kartplex facility will make this a memorable event for all participants.”
Craig Finer, Owner of Kartplex, expressed his enthusiasm, “We are honoured to be a part of this partnership, and we are excited to provide our world-class karts for the shoot out. We are confident that this event will highlight the incredible talent of Canadian karters and will be a fantastic opportunity for young drivers to progress in their careers.”
