Endurance Kart Racing League 2023 Season
The Endurance Kart Racing League is a newer up and coming kart series ready to go full throttle into their second season starting in March 2023. The EKRL is a 4-stroke Briggs & Stratton series only, basing its majority of saftey rules around the World Karting Association rule book.
The EKRL is a five race points series at five different tracks in the Mid-West: Fremont Raceway Park (Fremont, OH), Mid-State Kart Club (Dawson, IL), TBA (Ohio), Wilmington Raceway Park (Wilmington, OH), and Adkins Speed Center (Port Washington, OH). Three of the Ohio tracks will be a part of a new tradition within the series called the “Ohio State Triple Crown.”
“We at EKRL have made the appropriate rule changes to better protect our drivers and keep the racing close, all while keeping our idea of the series within reason.. An affordable “Nascar-style” racing format. Among those rule changes is a new rule set regarding JR drivers (ages 13-15) that race within the series without taking them out of contention to win against drivers who would normally be in SR and Masters classes. Many brands have agreed to come on board and partner with the EKRL whether it be for the season or a one race deal, including brands outside the world of karting. Those brands include SFR Transmissions, N&P Apiary, Trashy Apple Ink., Fremont Cutlery Co., Scott Smith Racing, and returning contingency sponsor Hoosier Kart Sport, with many more in the works.” – EKRL founder Evan Smoot
