With the ROK Cup USA ROK Vegas event in the rearview mirror, Team Racelab is fully focused and ready for this coming weekend’s Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals. With the 25th anniversary of the event on the horizon, Racelab will bring ten entries including drivers from Canada, the United States, and Europe as well as Factory drivers and Red Bull athletes in a diverse driver lineup.
“The SuperNats is the premier event in karting around the world, and we will use the race to promote both our drivers and our product lines,” expressed Craig Finer. “We had a great ROK Vegas event, and we are looking to better those results this at the SuperNats.”
Racelab will have four drivers enter the X30 Senior class including SKUSA Winter Series winner and TB Kart driver Edoardo Villa. Always fast on temporary circuits, Villa will look to fight for the win in Las Vegas. Flanking Villa in one of the premier classes is fellow European front-runner Ariel Elkin. A powerful one-two combination, both Villa and Elkin will see battle in X30 Senior and KA100 Senior. Joining the two Europeans in X30 Senior will be the Canadian duo of Josh and Isaac Finer. Race winners north of the border in Canada, the Finers will aim to have a solid set of heat races to fight for a spot on the grid on Super Sunday.
The perennial front-running duo of Ty Fisher and Gabriel Balog will throw their hats in the mix in Mini Swift. Both drivers have been contenders all season long scoring race wins and impressive results throughout North America and enter the SuperNats with momentum.
Finer added, “Ty has been competing internationally all season long and Gabe has had much success this past season. We are hoping for big things from our Mini Swift drivers as they will look to put the JV Kart at the front of the pack.”
The final two drivers to fly the Racelab flag in Las Vegas will be Canadian freeride mountain bike racer, three-time Red Bull Rampage Champion, rally cross racer, X-Games medalist, and Red Bull athlete Brandon Semenuk who will enter the Shifter Masters class for his first SuperNats attempt and Bobby Paul who finds his name on the talent-filled 100cc Masters entry list.
Set to hit the track Wednesday, Racelab drivers will take part in practice before a few additional practice sessions on Thursday lead straight into the ever-important SuperNats qualifying. Heat races will take place on Friday and Saturday with Super Sunday being reserved for the main events.
