Ayden Ingratta Levels Up to the Senior Ranks This Weekend
Canadian driver sets sights on the podium in North Carolina
Leveling up from the junior ranks of karting to senior, Canadian Ayden Ingratta will take on one of the toughest fields in all of karting this coming weekend. Traveling from his home in Canada to the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, Ingratta will take on the IAME USA National Finals on a track that he has found success at in the past.
“It is my first senior event in the United States and one that I have been looking forward to for a while now,” explained the Speed Concepts Racing branded CRG driver. “It is the premier class in all of karting, and I hope to make an immediate impact and look to fight for the race win and a podium result this weekend.”
A multi-time winner and champion in 2022, Ingratta is one of North America’s top karting prospects and the natural move to senior comes as no surprise. With an eye to move to cars in the future, the event this weekend and the events for the rest of the season could be a precursor in what’s to come.
Ingratta added, “I have learned a lot in junior but think that senior will provide a whole new element of competition. By watching from the sidelines, I notice that the experienced drivers are smarter in their decision making, they defend very well and work together when needed. While it is similar in junior, the biggest difference is that it is hard to overcome any sort of mistake, and I must be nearly perfect to win. I am ready for the challenge.”
Set to take to the GoPro Motorplex on Thursday and Friday for practice, wheel-to-wheel racing will take place over the weekend as Ingratta looks to find a way to the top step of the podium in his United States senior debut.
