ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour Registration Now Open

Announced yesterday via the ROK Cup USA social media pages, registration for the 2022 Florida Winter Tour is now open. As the premier winter karting series in Florida, the annual program will have their traditional three race schedule beginning in January and ending in March with a host of championship prizes on the line. Additionally, along with the full complement of ROK divisions, the Briggs 206 classes have been reintroduced to the 2022 edition of the FWT providing four-stroke racers a place to race in the Florida sun!

Kicking off the program at the Isle Casino in Pompano Beach over the January 13-16 weekend, ROKKERs and 206 racers will then move to the second temporary circuit on the schedule at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg February 17-20, one week prior to the opening round of the NTT IndyCar Series. With competitors racing wheel-to-wheel on temporary circuits in the same city less than seven days apart, the current and future stars of motorsports will descend on the St. Pete area for a motorsport filled week of racing. The final round of the Florida Winter Tour will make its return to the ionic Orlando Kart Center March 10-13.

Registration is now open via the KartPass App for all classes.

“Our Vortex ROK program is the foundation of the Florida Winter Tour but over the past few months we have received numerous requests to add the Briggs 206 classes,” explained Garett Potter. “Working with our teams and customers we have decided to add 206 Junior, 206 Senior and 206 Masters to rounds one and three for the 24th running of the Florida Winter Tour, with some registration stipulations.”

Briggs 206 drivers who are interested in competing at the Florida Winter Tour must sign up for the complete series by midnight on Monday, December 27th. At that point in time, ROK Cup USA Promoters will make the decision if the classes remain on the weekend schedule. To entice entrants, the champion of each Briggs 206 class will receive a 2022 ROK Vegas prize package that includes entry, race tires, fuel, oil and the use of a Vortex VLR engine.

With further details to be confirmed on the Briggs 206 classes in the coming weeks, the following classes will have the opportunity to compete.

206 Junior: 12-15 – 320lbs
206 Senior: 15+ – 365lbs
206 Masters: 32+ – 390lbs

Potter added, “With the biggest ROK event in North America just a few weeks ago, we are looking to make the 2022 Florida Winter Tour our biggest FWT campaign to date and look forward to kicking off a new racing season in style.”
