Superkarts! USA Announces Changes to Pro and Master Shifter for SuperNationals 24

Due to worldwide COVID-19 travel restrictions and lower than expected numbers thus far in the separate shifter categories, and so we could open other SuperNationals classes that were waitlisted to higher capacity, we have decided to combine the two Pro Shifter classes back into one.

Continuing our pledge to respond to customer demand and feedback, SKUSA is pleased to announce the following rule update. Beginning with the SKUSA SuperNationals, the weights for respective shifter classes will change to the following:

  • Pro Shifter (KZ/SSE) – 390 LBS
  • Master Shifter (KZ/SSE) – 405 LBS

The change in weight comes after much research, data collection and comparisons throughout the year with the mixed engine format. The new weight allows for closer competition and opens the widest berth for a larger number of drivers in the SKUSA ProTour program.

The event purse will remain the same for the combined Pro Shifter class if a KZ wins. A contingency prize is being offered to any driver running the IAME SSE package that puts it on pole and/or wins the race.

Pole: $3,000 (+$2,000 SSE Contingency)
1st: $10,000 (+$5,000 SSE Contingency)
2nd: $5,000
3rd: $2,000

The updated SKUSA SuperNationals 24 schedule has been updated to reflect the new combined Pro Shifter category and the expansion of Mini Swift at
