Charlotte Summer Series Championship Enjoys Debut Weekend with Changes to Benefit the Racer Coming for Round Two

With the first round of the World Karting Association (WKA) Charlotte Summer Series now done and dusted, series officials are actively preparing for the second event weekend and making some minor tweaks. Changes that will benefit the competitor and karter, the Series Prize Package remains unchanged as drivers are racing for thousands of dollars’ worth of items.

“The big change that everyone will see is that the first-class pre-entry will include the class entry itself, driver wrist band as well as paddock pit spot,” explained Mike Tetreault. “Our goal is to provide a competitive yet fun and stress-free series and bundling everything together benefits all.”

Along with the first class entered, second and third classes will now have discounted registration rates, mechanic wrist bands, practice fees and fuel for competitors registering before the June 21st deadline. With pre-entry now opened, competitors are encouraged to complete the entry process online to take advantage of big savings as prices will increase for walk up entries.

“We had a great first event, and we can build on the foundation that we now have,” added WKA President Kevin Williams. “The Charlotte area is a hot bed for karting and to be able to provide racers an opportunity to compete at one of the nation’s most well-known tracks will only help build motorsports around the country.”
