Tillotson USA Re-Launches the TPP-225RS Engine

Growth continues for 4-Cycle engine package with tickets to T4 World Cup awaiting USA drivers

Tillotson TPP-225RS

The Tillotson company roots date back over 100 years ago in the United States, known as one of the leading carburetor manufacturers during that tenure in the country and around the world. A leader of innovation and reliability, they introduced in 2019 a new karting engine package focused on providing a fun driving experience with great reliability at a very affordable price – the Tillotson TPP-225RS. With two years of racing, the engine package continues growing and introducing racers to a new form of karting.

For 2021, the Tillotson TPP-225RS engine has received a major technical update, being the carburetor system. The new float bowl carburetor has been received extremely well with various race events already run with the latest development. Any customers who own a TPP-225RS engine can purchase the new carburetor upgrade kit for the special introductory price of $50 which includes:

  • FM22-1A carburetor
  • New Die Cast Intake Manifold with Mounting Kit
  • Air Filter
  • Fuel Pump

To order this item (please reference part number T-CARB-UPGRADE-01), contact sales@tillotson.ie or ryan@kartrising.co. To obtain the special price, each customer will need to also submit the TPP-225RS engine serial number.

Tillotson is delighted to announce the T225RS Senior class will be racing at the Sunshine State Karting Challenge in Florida this year. The series is contested over three race weekends with trackside support from Kart Rising / Tillotson. The program begins June 26-27 at Andersen RacePark in Palmetto, Florida. Racing resumes on November 21-22 at a location to be determined with the finale set for December 19-20 at AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex presented by MG Tires. The weekend winner of the Andersen event will be awarded a cash prize along with a seat at the 2021 Tillotson T4 World Cup.

The T225RS category will also be part of the new US Karting Grand Prix, scheduled for July 23-25 at the Utah Motorsports Campus. A joint venture between several karting organizations will host a dual event at the Grantsville, Utah facility on both the sprint track and the road racing course. Some exciting prizes for the event in Utah include a $1,500 cash to the race winner along with a full ticket to the Tillotson T4 World Cup. More details surrounding the event can be found at the uskartinggrandprix.com or email martycasey2@msn.com.

The T4 World Cup is scheduled for a return in 2021, planned for the September 17-19 weekend with a location to be determined. Due to the complications arising from COVID-19, the drivers who won tickets in 2020 were unable to attend so Tillotson have agreed to extend their invite for the 2021 event. Add that in with the growing popularity in several countries, the 2021 T4 World Cup is expected to be one of the best events of the season for 4-Cycle racers from around the world.

The following drivers have already earned a spot to compete in September; Jacob Duvall (Maxxis 4-Cycle Sprint Series), Neil Breitenbach (Andersen RacePark Series), Daniel May (Atlanta Motorsports Park). All drivers will be provided with the complete T4 kart rental, practice and race tires with testing and entry fees covered. The SSKC and USKGP are the final two tickets in the USA for the 2021 season.

“It is an exciting period for Tillotson as we face a significant growth in the karting sector with the success of T4 Series and T225RS engine projects,” Andrew Fallon, Product Engineer at Tillotson Racing. “We are particularly excited for the T225RS class taking shape in USA which is the largest 4-Stroke market in the World. The Sunshine State Karting Challenge Series is shaping up to be extremely competitive with great drivers taking part and we are also delighted to have a class racing at the USKGP event this summer. It will be nice to see the US drivers taking part in the T4 World Cup this year, which will be a very unique event and brilliant experience for the competing drivers!”

  1. This is just what karting needs to grow further: yet another engine package, to compete with the roughly 20 other engines already out there. Lets just keep slicing the pie up smaller, and smaller. Good luck.
