Team Crosslink is Ready to Kick Off February Events

After a strong opening to their 2021 race season, Team Crosslink is ready to kick off February in South Florida. Set to tackle rounds three and four of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series, the Texas-based operation will enter five drivers this weekend at the AMR Motorplex in Homestead, Florida.

“We had a solid kick-off to our karting season as well as some great tests in our car program,” explained Team Manager Sean Owens. “The focus shifts back to the IAME powerplant and SKUSA this weekend. We have five drivers scattered across three different classes and have several opportunities for both podium results and race wins in the Florida sun.”

Entering three drivers in the X30 Senior ranks as Alex Stanfield will be joined by Reilly Cann and team newcomer Luke Lange, the trio will fight at the front of the premier class in Superkarts! USA competition. Doubling up on competition, Cann will also compete in the KA100 Senior class where he claimed a podium result in the first event weekend of 2021.

“Our senior contingent has the opportunity to battle for race wins and podiums throughout 2021,” added Owens. “We have evolved our program regarding on track and off-track performances and have been able to bring these drivers to the next level.”

2020 multi-time race winner and already a podium winner in 2021, Miguel Mier will be back with Team Crosslink in the X30 Masters ranks. Always a threat for race wins, Mier experienced success in Homestead in 2020 and will look to better those performances in 2021.

With only one driver in the junior ranks, Jake Giordano will fly the Team Crosslink colors in KA100 Junior. Claiming a top-fifteen result during the first event weekend, Giordano will aim to climb up the running order as he gains experience for the rest of the 2021 season.

Unofficial practice will begin on Thursday morning. The second day of testing will run through the end of Friday before two complete race days on Saturday and Sunday will comprise rounds three and four of the 2021 SKUSA Winter Series.
