After kicking off the 2020 karting season back in Florida, Team Crosslink driver Ryan Shehan is set to close his year in Las Vegas, Nevada. While 2020 has been a crazy year for almost everyone, Ryan went that extra mile to make it the craziest one yet for he and his family. With a full schedule planned, a testing incident relegated him to a hospital bed and the sidelines for quite some time before returning with a vengeance at top karting events around the country. Now, Ryan looks to cap it all off at the ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO.

Taking place November 4-8 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Shehan will once again enter the Senior ROK division in his quest for glory in Sin City. Piloting a Team Crosslink prepared Exprit Kart, Shehan will be under the watchful eyes of John Russell, Christian Boudon and Sean Owens throughout the five-day event.

“I am looking forward to next week,” expressed Shehan. “I am a big fan of the temporary circuits as it brings an added element to the sport.”

Returning to karting in April, Shehan has competed regionally and nationally throughout 2020. Aiming to close his season on a high and build momentum towards 2021, a ROK the RIO victory would be the perfect way to end the year.

Shehan added, “I am expecting the competition to be tough, but as a team we will put our heads down and aim towards the front of the field. I would like nothing more than to stand on the podium and to be able to thank my partners and supporters with some more hardware.”

With the event going green on Wednesday, November 4 for practice, qualifying will take place on Thursday with a full slate of heat races on Friday and Saturday. The ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO Champions will be crowned on Sunday and officially end the 2020 karting season.
