Luke Lange Readies for the 2020 ROK the RIO
A big fan of temporary circuits, Luke Lange is excited for next week’s ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO. As the biggest event on his 2020 karting calendar, Lange will pilot a Speed Concepts Racing (SCR) prepared Redspeed in his goal to become the ROK the RIO Champion. Taking place adjacent to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lange will look to climb to the top step of the podium next Sunday and provide another line item for his growing resume.
“I love karting and the competition of the sport so the anticipation for the biggest event of the season is high,” expressed Lange. “I have had some success on parking lot style circuits in the junior ranks, but this will be my first attempt at a temporary circuit in senior and I am up for the challenge. The ROK the RIO is the premier event on the ROK Cup USA calendar and would make the year compete with a win.”
Joining the potent Speed Concepts Racing program, Lange will be one of two SCR Senior drivers vying for ROK the RIO glory.
Lange added, “I was a winner of the annual June Sprints at Road America in a car and would love nothing more but to end 2020 with a karting win at ROK the RIO.”
With the event going green on Wednesday, November 4th for practice, qualifying will take place on Thursday with a full slate of heat races on Friday and Saturday. The ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO Champions will be crowned on Sunday and officially end the 2020 karting season.
