Caleb Shrader Ready for ROK the RIO in Las Vegas

Out of the seat more than expected in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Caleb Shrader is looking forward to his biggest event of the season. Set to compete at the ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO event with the potent Rolison Performance Group program, the 16-year-old competitor will compete in the 100cc Senior class as he takes on the barrier lined temporary circuit on the grounds of the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada over the November 4-8 weekend.

“It has been a difficult year for a lot of people but with so many delays, cancelations and postponements, we are excited to head to Las Vegas for ROK the RIO,” explained Shrader. “Since the final checkered flag in 2019, I have had this event marked on my calendar. Can’t wait to get back out there and see what we can do.”

Double dipping when he could in 2020, Shrader recently returned from Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin where he competed in the SCCA Runoffs in a Spec Racer Ford. Racing with the Pro Drive Race Team throughout the season, Caleb secured one win and three top-five results as he was behind the wheel of both a kart and car this year.

2019 was a successful year for the last year junior driver as Shrader was able to secure the IKF Northwest LO206, KA100 Junior and TaG Championships as well as the Pats Acres LO206, 100cc and TaG titles to make it six championships across two series. While podium results and race wins were plentiful, the ROK the RIO is the target for Shrader in 2020.

Shrader added, “2019 was a good year but 2020 would be the best year yet if I could win in Las Vegas. Looking forward to getting behind the wheel of my Cameron Egger tuned Kosmic chassis in just a few weeks’ time.”
