ROK the RIO Hotel Block Moved to Bally’s

Working closely with Caesars Entertainment, ROK Cup Promotions has shifted their ROK the RIO room block to Bally’s Hotel & Casino right in the center of the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. With a new date of December confirmed for the Rio All Suite Casino & Hotel opening, alternative plans have been made for the teams, competitors and ROK Cup USA staff.

“We received official word today from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino that they will not be open before our race and we have decided to move hotel accommodations to Bally’s,” explained Director of Operations Garett Potter. “We waited as long as we could hoping the Rio would open, but with solid confirmation we will head to Bally’s. The race will be held as planned at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino parking lot, and we are working with Caesars Entertainment on transportation options between the two Caesars properties. We will also have plenty of parking at the race for anyone that decides on rental cars. The good news is the Vegas Strip is open including hotels, restaurants, bars, and gaming. I haven’t stayed on the Strip in years, so I’m looking forward to it.”

Teams and competitors are asked to book through the hotel link on the ROK Cup USA website. If you have already completed your reservation, your rooms will automatically be changed to the Bally’s location and rate adjusted. The Sunday to Thursday rate is $39.00 with the Friday and Saturday room rates adjusted to $89.00.

Potter added, “Additionally, it looks like people found the Kart Pass App easy to use. With more than 150 entries in the first twenty-four hours, the 2020 edition of ROK the RIO is on pace to be another great event.”

A detailed race schedule will be released within the next ten days, but pleased stay tuned to our social media feed for instant access on event and series news.
