eKartingNews.com to Provide Trackside Live at 2020 US Rotax Grand Nationals
For the first time in the 20-year history of the US Rotax Grand Nationals, eKartingNews.com will be providing its industry-leading EKN Trackside Live coverage for the event. The race is set for July 2-5 event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and EKN will bring it all to you. EKN has covered the prestigious event many times during its tenure, dating back to the inaugural event in 2001, and we are set to provide unprecedented coverage and our live audio broadcast from Concord, North Carolina all weekend long.
“Returning the US Rotax Grand Nationals to Charlotte Motor Speedway is very special component to our mission and having eKartingNews on site to provide full coverage is simply perfect. The event will crown several champions and award Rotax Grand Final. Being able to have EKN share that and provide a clear window into the Rotax program is something we can’t wait for.” – Justin Stefani of J3 Competition, promoter of the US Rotax Grand Nationals.
The first US Rotax Grand Nationals for both EKN Publisher Rob Howden and Managing Editor David Cole was the 2007 edition from The Track at Centennial outside Denver, Colorado. Multiple trips to the annual gathering of ‘Rotaxians’ from around the country followed, including three trips to the pinnacle event of the year – the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in 2006, 2012, and 2013.
“I am huge proponent of the Rotax Grand Nationals concept, bringing the nation’s top competitors together from regions all over the country for one massive event,” offered Howden. “The US Rotax Grand Nationals that we’ve attended in the past all topped 20 entries and the competition was always thrilling. The pressure and desire to win an event like that is always high. I’m thrilled that we’ve put in place this partnership with J3 Competition. We’ve significantly developed our coverage package since our last Rotax Grand Nationals and it will be great to have EKN back trackside.”
EKN is set to be trackside for the 2020 US Rotax Grand Nationals, providing in-depth coverage both through the website and social media. Updates, session results, photos and videos can be enjoyed throughout the weekend on the EKN social media channels. The highlight of the coverage includes the actual Trackside Live broadcast, with live audio from the opening qualifying laps to the final checkered flag.
“One of the most exciting events I have been to in my career is the US Rotax Grand Nationals,” stated Cole. “Racers are all-in for a chance to become a Rotax national champion and to earn the opportunity to represent their country at the Rotax Grand Finals. I’m excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the inaugural event, and to see Rotax racing inside the historic Charlotte Motor Speedway. The combination is a recipe for a memorable weekend.”
