2020 Ignite Challenge Schedule Announcement

Building on double-digit growth in 2019, Margay Racing is excited to announce the return of the Ignite Challenge Series for its third season. Utilizing the Briggs & Stratton 206 engine, Ignite racing offers competitive, affordable and driver-focused kart racing that appeals to racers looking for the ‘next-step’ from rental karts and also the experienced racer looking for a more cost-effective karting series.

In 2020, the Ignite Challenge Series will open its five-race season at Chicagoland’s Kart Circuit Autobahn on April 25. The newly configured circuit was a driver favorite in 2019, featuring a track extension adding technicality and elevation to the mix. The series then makes its way to Indiana’s historic Whiteland Raceway Park for the first time on May 30. The Whiteland facility has gone through a remarkable transformation, including fresh pavement for 2020, under the new ownership of Andy O’Gara and former IndyCar Series driver Sarah Fisher.

On August 8-9, the double-header returns to TNT Kartways and Mid-State Kart Club. TNT Kartways will add its name to the list of tracks with new pavement this year to complement the classic layout. Drivers will then make the trip 90 miles due East for Sunday’s round at Springfield’s Mid-State Kart Club. To close the season, drivers will return to St. Louis’ Gateway Kartplex located inside Worldwide Technology Raceway on October 17.
