The end of the 2019 season signals the preparation for some of the largest karting events of the year for CRG Nordam, the factory-supported operation for the United States and Canada. The first event to mark off is the Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals 3 at the New Castle Motorsports Park on October 3-5. This event marks the largest 4-cycle based event in North America, focused around the popular Briggs & Stratton 206 engine package.

CRG Nordam is fielding drivers at the event, and providing support for all CRG drivers in attendance, working alongside dealer LSR Motorsports out of South Bend, Indiana. LSR Motorsports has been part of the karting industry for decades, and is a full-time supporter of the Cup Karts North America program.

A total of seven drivers will be under the CRG Nordam / LSR Motorsports tent in New Castle, utilizing the CRG FS4 chassis and Kart City Performance Briggs 206 power. Austin Garrison and Elliott Cox are racing under the CRG Nordam banner. The two former national champions in 2-Cycle racing will try their hand at Briggs 206 action. Garrison – from Davie, Florida – will be in the Senior CIK Medium class with Indy native Cox competing in the Sportsman division.

“I can’t say how excited we are to be venturing off in the 4-Cycle world,” stated Tony Tesoro of CRG Nordam. “We at CRG are always producing competitive karts, and the CRG FS4 is becoming a staple in Briggs & Stratton racing in North America and around the world. Taking our CRG Nordam race team to a 4-Cycle event is something new and I’m really looking forward to connecting with the many grassroots racers that make our sport so unique and fun.”

LSR drivers JD Gunn and Justin McCarthy will join Garrison in the Senior CIK Medium category. Stacey Gunn and Joe DeBoever represent LSR and Target Distributing in the CIK Masters class. Joining them is eKartingNews.com Managing Editor David Cole. The Michigan native is set to make his CKNA debut, competing as part of the website’s OnTrack editorial, thanks to CRG Nordam, LSR, Kart City Performance, Max Torque Clutches and AIM Sports.

“The LSR Team is excited to partner with CRG Nordam for GN3. This is the first year we will be focused 100% on the race team. In past years, our attention was divided with my daughter and I serving as CKNA Race Officials. After three years of chassis development, we are confident in the FS4 chassis and our talented group of drivers. We are looking forward to David Cole joining our team and fielding CRG drivers in three categories.”

Garrison and CRG Nordam driver AJ Myers are set to compete at the FIA Karting World Championships for the KZ category at the South Garda Karting facility in Lonato, Italy. Both USA drivers will be under the factory CRG tent during the September 20-22 event. A number of CRG Nordam drivers from the USA and Canada will take part at the ROK Cup SuperFinal on October 9-12 at South Garda. The focus then turns to Las Vegas, where CRG Nordam is attending the ROK the RIO on October 28-November 2 along with the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 23 on November 20-24. Both events held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino with CRG Arrive and Drive packages available.
