Briggs & Stratton 206 Engine Rule Update – Fuel Pump
The following is a statement from Briggs & Stratton regarding a 2019 rule update
15. Fuel Pump
Only fuel pump, B&S part number 808656 or 597338, is legal for competition.
Reason for this update: Mikuni has updated the membrane material to meet ROHS Compliance in the EU. From a visual and function standpoint the pump remains unchanged. A new part number change was required to prevent accidental non-compliance. Part number 808656 will eventually supersede to 597338 in the future depending on warehouse inventories.
