Route 66 Sprint Series Announces 2019 Competition Schedule

With the season finale of the 2018 championship season at Mid-State Kart Club just around the corner, the Route 66 Sprint Series presented by MG Tires and Franklin Motorsports is pleased to announce plans for the 2019 season.

The 2018 season featured six race weekends, centered around the series’ traditional home base of IL, IN, and WI. This was a departure from the normal five weekend schedule. This extended season was met with mixed reviews, and based on racer feedback, the Route 66 Sprint Series is returning to a five weekend schedule for 2019. While the venues are not finalized, the dates are listed below. The tracks will be released as soon as all the contracts are signed.

Rounds 1 & 2: April 27-28, 2019
Rounds 3 & 4: June 1-2, 2019
Rounds 5 & 6: July 13-14, 2019
Rounds 7 & 8: August 16-17, 2019
Rounds 9 & 10: September 21-22, 2019

The 2019 class structure is still under evaluation, as the 2018 season isn’t quite completed yet. However, few changes are likely, and the series is committed to continuing the long tradition of Yamaha KT100 racing, as long as the racers keep showing up.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for next season. Interested parties should Series Owner Mark Coats at (217) 652-6275 or via email at info@route66kartracing.com. More information about the Route 66 Sprint Series can be found by visiting the Series website at www.route66kartracing.com.
