Pippa Mann Scholarship Now Accepting Applications
The Lucas Oil School of Racing is now accepting applications for the next round of the Pippa Mann Scholarship for female racers looking to move up into road racing.
Open to girls and young women from the worlds of karting and other motorsports disciplines, drivers selected for the Pippa Mann Scholarship will be offered a seat in either a Lucas Oil School of Racing Basic 2-Day or 2-Day Advanced Lapping program, based on their experience. During their program, they will work with Mann and Lucas Oil School of Racing instructors. When a driver is recognized as having the potential to succeed with further instruction and seat time, next step(s) will be made available within the program.
“I’m thrilled with the success we saw with our first round of racers coming through this scholarship, and we’re definitely hoping some of the first wave of racers might be coming back to join us for race events with the Lucas Oil School of Racing later in the season”, noted Pippa Mann. “I’m incredibly grateful to Neil Enerson for deciding to continue with this program, and I’m looking forwards to seeing the resumes we receive this time around and meeting another wave of the next generation of female racers.”
“We are excited to bring back Pippa and continue the great work we started last year”, said Lucas Oil School of Racing CEO Neil Enerson. “The first group of drivers who came through the scholarship did a fantastic job, both in and out of the car. I expect Pippa’s second group will continue to do the same. We couldn’t have a better representative than Pippa Mann providing opportunities for women in racing.”
Drivers interested in being considered for the program are encouraged to apply at lucasraceschool.com/pippa-mann-scholarship. Application deadline is May 31, 2018.
