NOLA Motorsports Park Announces Changes to Karting Program at Their Facility
Group of industry professionals now in place to operate kart track’s race program
Major changes are taking place at the NOLA Motorsports Park facility as management has decided to take a different direction with their karting program. Assembling a group of industry professionals to operate the remainder of the 2018 schedule, plans for the future are in full swing and the focus will be on providing the South with a kart race program similar to NOLA Motorsport Park’s World-Class Karting Facility.
“NOLA Motorsports Park has gone through some evolutions since we opened in 2012,” explained Francisco Christian, CEO of NOLA Motorsports Park. “We understand the kart racing market is very unique and we have had some challenges finding a good balance for us. But, we also want racers to know this program is important to NOLA, and we are working on a long-term solution.”
Christian continued, “We would like to thank Jay Howard and his Motorsports Driver Development program for their efforts at our facility and wish him and his staff the best of luck in their future endeavors. Moving forward, we will change the name of the club karting program to the NOLA Sprint Kart Championship as well as implement some key staff to assist in the growth of karting in New Orleans.”
The 2018 NOLA Motorsports Park Karting schedule is as follows:
February 24 – NOLA Sprint Kart Championship
April 21 – NOLA Sprint Kart Championship

With a long-term program in the works, NOLA Motorsports Park wants their racers to focus on what they love, and that’s racing. A new Race Director, Technical Inspectors and Administration staff will be put in place for the NOLA Sprint Kart Championship.
Christian added, “Several more announcements from NOLA Motorsports Park will be coming in the very near future. We wanted to let our customers know that we have listened to their concerns and are making the necessary changes.”
