Registration Open for 2016 4-Cycle Super Showdown
The 2016 4-Cycle Super Showdown Early Pre Registration opened Saturday at Noon, September 10, 2016. Once again the Super Showdown is being held at the Phoenix Kart Racing Association’s (PKRA) track located in Phoenix Arizona. The dates for this year’s event are Move in on Thursday, October 20th. Friday’s practice on October 21st, Gates will open by 7AM. Racing will be Saturday and Sunday, October 22nd and 23rd.
Showdown Racing, the promoter of the Super Showdown has opened the event to all Briggs and Stratton classes. Last year there were entries in the LO206 Jr1 (Cadet) Class, LO206 Sr. Class, World Formula Jr2 Class, World Formula Medium Class and the World Formula Master Class.
We have heard of interest in some running the LO206 Jr 2 class and the LO206 Master class. We also expect an influx of entries in the LO206 Sr. as well as the JR1 class, which was the largest class with 22 entries last year at the Super Showdown.
The first 10 to enter a class will be randomly placed in the first 5 rows for heat one. Also every one that enters before September 19th will receive a free event T-Shirt.
Showdown Racing has decided, based on driver input, to allow several different tires to be used at this year’s event. Several tire importers and distributors have offered incentives to the racers that use their tire at this year’s event. Here is the list of Spec tires and incentives.
Bridgestone YLC – Will give $25.00 cash for each driver that races on a set of Bridgestone tires. Will also give $25.00 cash for anyone that practices on a new set of Bridgestone tires during one of the Friday Practice sessions.
Le Cont – $50.00 to every driver that enters a Briggs and Stratton World Formula Class and uses the Le Cont tire for the event. Also $25.00 cash for anyone that practices on a new set of Le Cont tires during one of the Friday Practice sessions.
Vega FH – Will give a $100.00 Gift Certificate to the winner of any class that has more than 10 entries that uses a set of Vega’s. $50.00 Gift Certificate to the winner of any class that has 5 to 10 entries that uses a set of Vega’s.
MG HZ – No Incentives at this time.
Evinco H – No incentives at this time.
The Spec Fuel of choice this year will be VP110.
Also this year you can have a Driver Photo and Profile added to the Event Program as well as your sponsor’s logo displayed in the Program.
For $10 you can add a Photo and driver profile to this year’s Event Program and for $20 you can add a Sponsor Logo.
