CIK-FIA European Championships Start This Weekend for Birel ART

Birel ART Racing is ready to get on track for the opening round of the CIK-FIA European KZ and KZ2 Championships, scheduled on April 20-24, 2016 at Essay (France): flying the team colours will be Jordon Lennox-Lamb (KZ) and Marijn Kremers (KZ2).

Gianluca Beggio, Technical Director: “Birel ART Racing goes into the opening round of the CIK-FIA European KZ and KZ2 Championships confident that it will be competitive. Thanks to our development work, we have improved a lot from last year: we were competitive right from the start of the season, as we demonstrated in the third round of the WSK Super Master Series in Muro Leccese.

The expectations in KZ, with Jordon Lennox-Lamb, are to confirm again our competitiveness and to fight for the victory. Marijn Kremers is back with us in KZ2. The Dutch driver has all the characteristics to be able to fight at the front: although he has not yet raced in Europe this year, he has proven to be very fast in Australia.”

Jordon Lennox-Lamb #7: “I am very optimistic for the start of the European Championships, after the result in the last race. The equipment is very competitive and we are confident we can also be fast at Essay. It is the home race for Tec-Sav Engineering and it is important to get a good result for them. I am really looking forward to getting back on track. We are well prepared and we have everything we need to aim for another podium and make another step forward compared to Muro Leccese.”

Marijn Kremers #304: “I am confident for the first round of the European Championship. Although many people didn’t see me on track in the last period, I raced a lot and I think racing in Australia prepared me well for the European season. Birel ART has shown a great pace so far this year and the IAME engines are competitive, as always. I haven’t been to Essay in quite some time, but I have always been fast on French tracks. Our goal is to fight for the top step of the podium.”
