Birel ART Junior Made Its Debut in the ACI Karting Italian Championship
Last weekend, Birel ART Junior made its debut in the ACI Karting Italian Championship with Leonardo Bertini Colla and Andrea Filaferro.
“Another step forward in the overall growth of the Team” commented Giorgio Pantano, head of track operations for Birel ART Junior -the official organisation dedicated to the Mini Kart class and born to help youngsters through direct technical support, as well as providing the same type of assistance and methodology that the drivers will come across later on in the Birel ART Racing factory teams in the higher classes.
“On his first outing with Birel ART Junior, Leonardo Bertini Colla was thirteenth fastest overall out of seventy drivers in the 60 Mini qualifying. Then unfortunately, a few collisions prevented him from getting the results we had hoped for. As for Andrea Filaferro, he had a technical problem and this affected our performance through the weekend. It’s a shame because the equipment was very competitive and Andrea showed he is growing race by race” added Giorgio.
“In the next meetings, the Team will continue to develop its internal structure to reflect the winning philosophy of Birel ART, as well as to enhance its line-up with the arrival of new drivers. The next race will be the final round of the WSK Super Master Series, scheduled in Adria on May 20-22: our goal is to continue our growth and to make another step forward” concluded Pantano.
