Mojo D1 Tires To Be Replaced by D2 Compound in Rotax Junior for United States Rotax Max Challenge
MAXSpeed Group working with Mojo for long term solution
Listening to their customers and understanding the concerns of the Mojo D1 tire compound, MAXSpeed Group has elected to make the switch to the Mojo D2 tire for the Rotax Junior class beginning at the first round of the Sofina Foods US Open Presented by Fikse Wheels series in late April. The switch in tire compound will provide a different value of racing for the Rotax Junior client base all while simplifying the inventory and ordering methods for partners of MAXSpeed Group.
“This is a short term fix for the Mojo D1 tire issue and we are working hand in hand with Rotax and Mojo on improvements and a long term plan for the Rotax Junior class,” explained MAXSpeed Group’s Andrew Campbell.
The first MAXSpeed Entertainment promoted event that will utilize the D2 tire compound for Rotax Junior will be the 2016 Sofina Foods US Open Presented by Fikse Wheels series opener at the NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rotax Micro and Mini classes will remain unchanged.
Campbell continued, “Following that event weekend, all United States Rotax MAX Challenge programs will have the opportunity to follow suit and make the switch to Mojo D2 or stick with the current D1 platform that has been established for the Junior divisions.”
