2016 Challenge of the Americas Promo Video
The staff here at EKN would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year as 2016 is underway. The season officially kicked off for with the annual WKA Daytona KartWeek in Florida between Christmas and New Years, with the calendar now turned over and the focus on the new season set for the upcoming winter programs.
The Challenge of the Americas program is set for its ninth season, providing the premier winter karting west coast series. Rotax competitors will be competing at the international level with drivers from the United States, Canada, and other countries competing in the five categories ranging from Masters to Micro Max. Senior, Junior and Masters competitors are competing for a ticket to the 2016 Rotax Grand Finals set for October in Italy.
This season, Shifterkart categories have been added to the program to align itself with the growing US Open series. Senior and Masters divisions will compete at the three events that make up the 2016 Challenge of the Americas program, with early numbers showing well.
The season begins on January 29-31 at the Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, Arizona, followed with a return trips to Phoenix Kart Racing Association on February 26-28 and Simraceway Performance Karting Center in Sonoma, California on April 1-3.
