Long Island Karting and The F Series State Championship Join Forces in 2016
The Long Island Karting Association and the F Series State Championship Series are joining forces in 2016.The partnership comes in an aligned effort to promote and strengthen karting and competition in both programs in the northeast. The combined effort will promise to create large fields and of course fantastic competition. Class structures from both organizations will be very similar and will join on track for great racing action. Points will be awarded by each series.
The combined series will have nine events in 2016. Five events will be held at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ; three events will be held at the Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ and one night event will be held at Oakland Valley Raceway Park in Cuddebackville, NY.
1.) April 2nd – 3rd NJMP
2.) April / May 30th – 1st NJMP
3.) May 21st – 22nd Englishtown
4.) June 18th NJMP
5.) July 9th OVRP Night race
6.) August 6th – 7th Englishtown
7.) September 10th &11th NJMP
8.) October 15th – 16th NJMP
9.) November 5th – 6th Englishtown
Race day awards will be presented to the Top 3 finishers in each class with points earned toward the year end championship. Year-end awards will be presented to Top 5 in points for each class at the end of the season.
