The 2015 season was an impressive year for Checkered Motorsports, but the focus has already shifted for the 2016 season.  The team is excited to announce that Gage Rodgers will be joining Checkered Motorsports and sporting the PCR colors throughout the 2016 season.  Rodgers will kick off his first start with the PCR package at Daytona Kart Week.

Checkered Motorsports is excited to add an experienced, talented driver to their junior line-up.  Owner Csaba Bujdoso explains, “We are excited to start our journey with Ed Rodgers and his son Gage.  We’ve developed a great junior program, and Gage is a great asset to our operation. I look forward to a successful 2016 season”

The Michigan resident has an impressive resume in the sportsman ranks clinching victories, championships, and numerous pole positions.  Transitioning into the junior ranks for 2016, Rodgers is ready to add more victories and championship titles to his racing resume.  Rodgers will see action in the WKA Manufacturers Cup Series, USPKS, WKA Winter Cup, and the SKUSA Pro Tour.  Focusing his efforts in Iame Junior and Yamaha Jr. Can, the young 12 year old is excited to make his presence in his rookie season in the junior rankings.

Team Manager, Robert Bujdoso, adds, “Gage Rodgers is a perfect fit the for the PCR Superstrillo chassis.  His talent and dedication was seen in the sportsman ranks, and that drive is what makes a champion.  Working with BBS Engines and focusing on data analysis we will be turning some heads in 2016.”
