Results from the most prestigious U.S. karting event – the 18th annual SKUSA Supernationals in Las Vegas, and its field of nearly 400 competitors – explain why a growing number of karters are turning to HoleShot sprockets and chains for a competitive edge when thousandths of a second matter.

In the 20-lap main events, Jarred Campbell and Logan Sargeant cruised to healthy 3.921 and 5.770 second victories in the ultra-competitive S2 and TaG Junior classes, respectively. Anthony Gangi Jr. finished third in TaG Junior. In total, HoleShot’s seven sponsored drivers walked away with two championships and three podiums in the 5 classes they competed in, where the average main event featured 40 drivers. None of the drivers finished outside of the top ten.

“This was the debut event for our 428 chain,” said HoleShot CEO AJ Whisler. “Having Jarred win a championship on our drive train system during our unveiling event says a lot about why our AeroTru process, which brings aerospace quality into our products, is a true differentiator.”

The 219 sprocket and chain combination that Sargeant and Gangi used for their dual podium has been race proven over the last few years, and showed again why it is a difference maker. In four of the five heat races leading up to the main event, either Sargeant or Gangi won the heat race and recorded the fastest lap.

The trusting and rewarded soles that took the maiden voyage with the 428 chain were Fritz Leesmann(10th) and A.J. Myers (5th) in the KZ2 class, Joey Wimsett (7th) and Leesman (5th) in the S1 class, Campbell (1st) in the S2 class and Trevor McAlister (5th) in the S4 class.

“We couldn’t be happier with the results,” said Campbell from his Sacramento home. “We came into this event with a lot of momentum from our win in Lancaster and didn’t relax in between the two events with thousands of testing laps with Ricky Luther and Fritz. Our SwedeTech Honda-powered Intrepid was spot on all weekend and we relied solely on the HoleShot 428 chain combination to carry us.”
