WSK Final Cup An Event Not to be Missed
The WSK Final Cup is going to be one of the top events of the year. This event, as usual, is the closing appointment of the season promoted by WSK Promotion and this year it is hosted by the brand new Italian facility Adria Karting Raceway. It arrives as the icing on the cake of a season during which WSK Promotion committed itself again in the organisation of the most important kart-racing events at world level. The WSK Final Cup is the last occasion for the top drivers to challenge each other: the programme of the event, in fact, includes the international categories KZ2, KF, KF Junior. As usual, also the 60 Mini will be on the programme, with all its young and motivated talents. This great motorsport show will take place on a top quality stage: the Karting Raceway of Adria, a 1,300 metre long track which has just been opened. There is great enthusiasm for the track after the first session of free practice which, last weekend, welcomed the drivers who swarmed the track.
Adria, a track ready 24hrs
Drivers tested the brand-new circuit for the first time last week, before its official opening during the WSK Final Cup. The Adria Karting Raceway can boast high quality standards thanks to the accuracy that the Altoès, a family of entrepreneurs, used in realising the facility. For example, the paddock is entirely paved in concrete, and the drivers who used the circuit last week appreciated this characteristic of the Raceway. Together with th Adria facility was built a powerful lighting system which allows night-time racing events. Since the early stage of the project, the facility was conceived according to the typical design of a raceway: you can tell it by the infrastructures of the around it. There are new projects for kart racing underway in Adria, where will take place some events of the WSK series in 2015.
Adria Winter Trophy: F.4 and karting race side by side
The strong bound which links F.4 and kart racing will be evident at the weekend of the WSK Final Cup. The Adria Winter Trophy, born thanks to the Adria International Raceway with the cooperation of Acisport and WSK Promotion, is the other great appointment of the weekend. The drivers of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth will race on the car-racing circuit. The F.4 will be the top category of a weekend with the 500 Abarth Trophy and many other categories.
A very tight schedule
The WSK Final Cup will start on Wednesday 29th with the free practice for all the categories. On the following days, the schedule will have the usual appointments of a classical WSK event, with qualifying sessions and heats. The heats will occupy the whole programme of Saturday 1st November. On Sunday 2nd November there will be the Pre-finals in the morning and the Finals in the afternoon. The Adria Winter Trophy, on the other hand, will start on Friday 31st October with the free practice. On Saturday morning there will be the warm-up and the qualifying session, while the race (28 minutes plus a lap) will take place in the afternoon. The same programme will be followed on Sunday 2nd November.
Enjoy the weekend on TV and on the Internet
As in all the WSK Promotion events, the video coverage of the race will be guaranteed by the live streaming on www.wsk.it, which will cover the whole programme of Sunday 2nd November. Don’t miss the other TV appointment during the following week on Rai Sport 2, with the delayed broadcast on Wednesday 5th November and the special report on Friday 7th.
