Andersen Racing Team Heads Overseas to Italy for Rotax Euro Challenge

With the appeal of summer ever nearing, the Andersen Racing Team readies their squad for the second round of European competition in Castelletto, Italy on 31 May – 01 June. Having taken notes during the first round last month in Genk, Belgium, the team of Junior Max drivers is ready to test their skills among the world’s best.

Coming off a string of wins in Florida Rotax competition, Michael McCarthy (15) is ready to make his impression on the 75 kart field of Rotax Junior competitors. Michael can be seen on a daily basis at Andersen RacePark, the Team’s personal training circuit in Palmetto, FL, where he works tirelessly to ensure that he is prepared mentally, physically, and technically for the upcoming battle in Castelletto, Italy. Keeping his eye on his goal of winning a ticket to the Rotax Grand Final in Spain, Michael is excited to get to work on the 7 Laghi Circuit in Northern Italy.

Joining Michael is his teammate Aidan Keel (13) of Plant City, Florida. The 2013 Pan-American Challenge Champion has been on his game, focusing on his upper body strength in an effort to meet the challenge poised by his older competitors. The 13 year-old will be racing against drivers aged up to 16 years old, making him one of the youngest drivers in the category. Thanks to his sponsors Keel and Curley winery and the Two Henry’s Brewing Company, Aidan will be back in action and fully equipped to take on his rivals.

Teaming up with the Birel-Motorsport outfit, the American duo will have everything they need to take the fight to the circuit. Aboard the proven 2014 RY-30 S6 Birel Chassis, both Keel and McCarthy will be more than anxious to battle their way to the front.
