Team News: G.P Texas USA Brings International Flavor to SuperNats

Professional drivers touted in G.P Texas USA's roster

After a very fantastic year, G.P Texas USA is ready for SuperNats XVII with a line of quality drivers. Two of the drivers race professionally in America. From Venezuela, driver Nelson Canache, winner of the 2013 24 hours of Daytona, and the 2013 rookie of the year in the American Le Mans Series, with the Flying Lizard Team. The 34 year old from Venezuela will be racing the S4 Masters Stock Moto shifter class. It’ll be Canache’s first time racing the SKUSA SuperNats.  Canache raced the Florida Winter Tour earlier this year in Homestead, FL. He finished on the podium during the TaG Master Formula Kart weekend.
The other professional driver is Juan Carlos Blum from Guadalajara, Mexico. J.C Blum raced the NASCAR Nationwide series with Rick Racing Team earlier this year.  He than moved to the Harmon Racing Team, with the car number 23. J.C Blum be racing the S1 Pro Stock Moto shifter class at the SuperNats.

From Italy, G.P Kart owner Gian Piero Cavaciuti will be making his debut in Vegas XVII, racing the S4 class. The 35 year old G.P factory owner commented, “I’m very excited to race Vegas SuperNats with the G.P Texas USA Racing Team. It’ll be a very good experience to be part of this event and I’m hoping to do well.”

S4 drivers from Guadalajara, Mexico, Jorge de la Huerta and Jose Barba Kato will be teammates of Nelson and Gian Piero in the S4 class. Jorge de la Huerta finished in 3rd place in the Texas ProKart Challenge at NOLA in October. Jose Barba Kato has raced SuperNats before, and this will be his first time racing with the G.P Texas USA Racing Team.

In the S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto class: The 16 year old Texan driver Miguel Lopez. This will be his second year competing in the S2 class. 2013 SKUSA Mexican champion Axel Matus is also making his debut in the S2 class. Axel has competed in the SuperNats before, in the S5 Junior Stock Moto class. 2012 SKUSA Mexican champion Andres Orozco Fortes will also be competing in the SuperNats this year. Driver Loris Ronzano is coming from Italy to experience the Vegas SuperNats as well. Loris is an Italian driver, who originally raced KZ2 in Europe. The Italian rookie is very excited to be part of the SuperNats this year, and learn about the shifter classes in America.

In the S5 class, the new kid from Guadalajara Mexico, rookie Raul Guzman. The 13 year old has been learning a lot of racing in Texas on the Texas ProKart Challenge and the SKUSA Pro Tour. With a double podium in SummerNats in Colorado it will be a very good challenge for him in Vegas.
