With close points battles and the ability for drivers to drop their lowest finish, Round Five and the Stock Car Steel/SRI Championship Series season finale on Wednesday night will be the drivers’ last shot at securing a championship title and the determining factor on which drivers will be crowned champions. The top-three finishers in TaG Senior, TaG Masters and in the Rental League Light and Heavy division championship standings will be awarded immediately following the conclusion of Wednesday night’s final races during a special ceremony.
Stock Car Steel/SRI Championship Series Champions Night –
The racing in all four divisions has been close in each round of the series so far, resulting in extremely tight points battles. In the feature division, TaG Senior, there is only a 10 point difference between leader, Tyler Cooke and second place of Colin Braun.
The same is true for the Rental Kart League. The Rental League Light Division championship points battle is only separated by 25 points. Driver, MattMan, leads Shattuck13 with just three heat races left in Round Five that will determine the champion.
The ability for drivers in all four divisions to drop their lowest finish adds an exciting twist that creates suspense until the very last lap of Round Five Wednesday night.
